Today was my first “real” day of being a stay-at-home-working-from-home mom. I had been wondering how I would feel when the hubby and the girl left for their first day of school. Baby kept me busy until he went down for a morning nap, and I immediately got to work on the computer so I’d be sure I was ahead of schedule instead of behind.
I did laundry.
I baked cookies.
I straightened the house.
I called to double check bus pick up for the morning.
I had an amazingly successful day.
And I found that I’m not even too sad about not being at the school. I’m sure this feeling will come and go. I’m certain I’ll begin to wax nostalgic during Homecoming when I’m not at the school to dance with the faculty squad. But, at this point, this is AWESOME.
And the best part? I’m still in my pajamas! 🙂
